While Netflix saved us from the attack of COVID-19 shutdown by providing us with terrific shows, the platform also suffered some major delays. ‘The Witcher’ season 2 went on a hiatus of five months due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. However, the series has resumed the production and filming in Arborfield Studio, U.K.
Before the onset of the pandemic, ‘The Witcher’ had almost completed the shooting of its first episode. After five months, the shooting began sometime in August but, everything was kept extremely lowkey. The news of re-shoot was first announced by the director, Stephen Surjik. You might know him well for his work in ‘The Umbrella Academy’.
Later, cast members like Henry Cavill, Paul Bullion, Kim Bodnia, Tom Canton, and a lot more also started updating snaps from the shoot. Cavill hinted at an interesting action sequence and we can deduce a little from it. We believe that Cavill’s character, Geralt, will be fighting bruxa, a vicious vampire.
Interestingly, Anges Born, who’s playing that monster was also on the set during the same time. It is expected that fans will get to see the fight in the very first episode itself. As a major spoiler, Freya Allan’s character Ciri will form an ally with Geralt.
